ATB: Commerce’s Journey to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility Online
Join us for our next installment of the Around the Bureaus series, where Junish Arora, the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (CDO) at the Department of Commerce, will talk about the DOC DEIA Strategic Plan, the role of the new DEIA Division Office within the Office of Civil Rights, and the CDO’s role.
On June 25, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce. This Executive Order launched a Government-wide initiative to cultivate a federal workforce that draws from the full diversity of the Nation and advances equitable employment opportunities. The Department of Commerce is committed to implementing Executive Order 14035 and has developed the DOC DEIA Strategic Plan 2022-2024 to achieve this goal.
Mr. Arora will share his experiences and insights into promoting DEIA, highlighting recent accomplishments, and discussing upcoming goals and priorities.
About Around the Bureaus: This series showcases the diverse work of Department of Commerce employees, breaking down silos and encourages cross-bureau collaboration. If you would like to participate in a future presentation, please reach out to the library for more information.
