Fischer, Chief of the Census Bureau’s International Programs Center (IPC), will give an overview of IPC's international engagements, funding sources and priorities as we transition from the 2020 to the 2030 Global Round of Population and Housing Censuses.

The U.S. Census Bureau's International Programs Center advances data-driven decision making through tools, capacity strengthening, and data products for the global statistical community. IPC shares the Census Bureau's expertise globally and is a leader in developing best practices for census and survey implementation in resource constrained environments.

About Mr. Fischer: Oliver P. Fischer is Chief of the Census Bureau’s International Programs Center. In this role, he sets the strategic direction, manages sponsor relations, and oversees the human and financial resources of the Center. This includes guiding the Center’s efforts in strengthening national population data systems and developing tools to facilitate the census and survey-taking process. He directs the planning and preparation of international demographic, geospatial, health, climate, and economic data products utilizing census, survey, and registration data.
