Learn how to research the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and administrative decisions on Westlaw. Westlaw is a legal research service that provides access to various sources of law, including statutes, regulations, cases, and more. In this session, you will learn how to:

  • Locate and navigate regulations by code section, chapter, or specific regulation;
  • Use the RegulationsPlus tool to access relevant cases, previous versions, administrative decisions, and Federal Register updates;
  • Search the CFR using the index;
  • Access administrative decisions on Westlaw and use KeyCite to determine if a decision is still good law.

Access to Westlaw Edge requires an OpenAthens account. Request an account if you don’t already have one. This training will be recorded and will be viewable later on this page.
