The mystery of cryptocurrency requires a specialized level of understanding as it is a complex and emerging topic. Cryptocurrency is becoming a new language, in an array of fields such as banking, investment, and the law. The vast amount of information available about cryptocurrency across many different platforms has grown exceptionally since the birth of the first cryptocurrency in 2009. This technology and the various ways to access the information impact how attorneys practice and uphold the law. Cryptocurrency also brings forth more issues and new laws that your clients may face. This course will get you up to speed on the latest cryptocurrency concerns as well as teach you how to find current resources and regulations to increase your knowledge. The goal of this course is to support attorneys in understanding what cryptocurrency is, what are the statutes and legislation that currently govern cryptocurrency, and the various in-depth resources regarding cryptocurrency that research platforms provide to attorneys and support staff.

LexisNexis seeks credit based on the content, but the type of credit allowed is determined by the state governing MCLE Board. Please note that approval of a course is at the discretion of each state bar.
