Join us for a presentation by NICE featuring Karen Wetzel, NICE Framework Lead, and Davina Pruitt-Mentle, NICE Academic Engagement Lead.

Discover how the NICE program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is shaping the future of America’s cybersecurity workforce. From classrooms to careers, learn how NICE is building a national ecosystem that empowers individuals, educators, and employers to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity talent that fosters innovation and invention that underpin the U.S. comparative advantage. This session will spotlight key initiatives, signature programs, partnerships, and how others in the Department of Commerce can be part of the solution.

Karen Wetzel is Lead of the NICE Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework) at NIST under the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role she sets strategy for and leads efforts around the development, improvement, and application of the NICE Framework in support of an integrated ecosystem of cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development. Ms. Wetzel’s full biography is available on the NIST website.

 

Dr. Davina Pruitt-Mentleserves as Lead for Academic Engagement of NICE at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Prior to joining NICE, she was a senior researcher and policy analyst for Educational Technology Policy, Research and Outreach (ETPRO) and served as the Co-PI for the National Science Foundation (NSF) supported National Cyberwatch Center (NCC). Ms. Pruitt-Mentle’s full biography is available on the NIST website.
