Please join Bloomberg’s Chief Economist Tom Orlik in this first part of a two-part webinar from Bloomberg. He will discuss how the coronavirus has impacted the Chinese economy and the research conducted for his new book China: The Bubble That Never Pops, answering questions such as:

  • How did China manage through the COVID-19 shock without facing a debt crisis?
  • What’s the outlook for China as domestic stimulus provides a boost, and rising U.S. tensions threaten a drag?

Department of Commerce staff are welcome to attend Tom Orlik’s presentation. The second webinar will train users on the Bloomberg Terminal which is restricted to Department of Commerce staff with an Official Duty Station of the Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, DC.

Join us on Wednesday, November 18th at 1 PM for Bloomberg Training: Economic Datasets on the Terminal a training that highlights the economic datasets available on the terminal that are crucial to the type of research Tom will be presenting on.
